It feels like I blinked and all of 2019 has just disappeared on me - and now it's Christmas! For those who don't know, my folks are from the land of tinsel and pumpkin spice everything (the states) so I tend to get a bit overexcited when December rolls in and the carols start, especially since my mum will have had our family tree up since Halloween. Gift giving is something I take immense joy in, however, I do agree that Christmas shopping can be overwhelming and finding the right gift for that special someone is not always easy, and often a labour of love. I can say with almost certainty this gift guide will set you on the right path for December 25th. Personally, I like to shop with everything under one roof at Queensgate so I can zip around the store efficiently, everything below is in their mega shopping centre if you decide to pop along this busy season! So get shopping and enjoy a stress free season with your loved ones!
For Her: Under $100
Ecoya candles from Farmers, $24-$60. Every female loves a candle, it makes your home smell delicious and adds a special ambience you can't get with downlighting.
Tea Pot from Stevens, $29.99. Who doesn't want to wake up to a hot cuppa in bed?
A Notebook Planner from Kikki K, $34.99 - You can even go the extra mile and have it monogrammed! As a planner, I love having something special to write my thoughts and errands in, it takes a huge load off your brain!
For Her: Over $100
Perfume, YSL Black Opium from Unichem Pharmacy, $184. A classic scent that I absolutely adore, and it comes with a mini perfume, perfect for travelling!
Mecca Maxima Christmas Gift Pack, $109. "I don't need more makeup" - said no-one ever! This pack in particular has all the basics and nothing complicated where say, you need to ensure the shade is correct - everything can be used by everyone!
If this makes you nervous, Mecca Maxima at Queensgate have a huge variety of festive packages, and the staff are ALWAYS willing to help out, don't be nervous to ask! These guys work here because they LOVE all things cosmetics and want to pass their knowledge on!
For Him: Under $100
Socks + underwear, Peter Alexander, $49.99 for the underwear and $25.99 for the socks. What guy doesn't always need underwear and socks? It's not a boring gift if it's from Peter Alexander.
Cufflinks from Barkers, $49.99 however they're currently having a Christmas sale and are down 50%.
For Him: Over $100
Citizen Watch, Stewart Dawsons $375.00 - This would be my pick for most guys because it's very simple, versatile and classic.
But you can see there's a huge range to choose from!
A Phillips Multigroomer from the Shaver Shop, currently on sale at $199 down from $299. I had Adams' input on this one, he thinks it's best go for an all-in-one trimmer, shaver, clipper - everything whereas I was of the opinion to spend more on one specific tool. I guess that's guys though, better to keep it simple and all in one box!
For the little one:
The Body Shop Gift Pack, $109. A very versatile gift, The Body Shop has something for both genders and all ages, as a little girl I adored getting these for Christmas because the smell was so divine and the packaging was always really fun to open!
National Geographic Kits, from $19.99 at Farmers. This could be perfect for a niece or nephew, I think especially great when you know the parents wouldn't appreciate you giving their child candy or loud toys! Science (yet fun) for the win!
Headphones from Smiggle $34.99, I think these really suit a wide age range dependant on which design you choose!
Last but not least, for those brand new babies, what's cuter than a wee outfit from Seed? This ensemble is just $70, and will surely crack a smile on everyones faces :)
These gifts are all available from Queensgate, and all under one roof.
Good luck and Merry Christmas! xxx
